Environmental impact of a waste water effluent, Nanhai, China

For a refinery/chemical complex project, located nearby Nanhai in the Huizhou Municipality,
Svašek Hydraulics has determined the environmental impact of a waste water effluent. The outlet
of the proposed effluent discharge line is situated at a distance of 9 km from the coast line.
Water Quality standards require that pollutant concentration occurring as a result of the disposal
does not exceed certain critical values. Therefore the dilution parameters in relation to the distance
from the outlet have been determined for several tidal currents.
