Sluis aan Zee - Feasibility study

This study investigates the technical and financial feasibility of a new marina at Sluis, a town in the south west of the Netherlands, near the coast of the North Sea. The marina will have a capacity of 500 berths. A 7 km long channel and a lock connecting the marina with the sea are part of the project.

The existing discharge channel from Sluis to the sea should be widened and deepened to allow traffic of pleasure craft. Moreover, the discharge sluice at Cadzand-Bad has to be rebuilt to allow for combined use as a ship lock.

This new marina is supposed to stimulate the recreative development of the region.
